"There will be no additional negotiations about the ZSO that Belgrade insists on"
Pristina will not accept additional negotiations on the establishment of the Community of Serb Municipalities, which Belgrade insists on, said a statement from the cabinet of the prime minister of the provisional Pristina institutions, Avdullah Hoti.
This announcement came on the eve of the visit of the EU envoy for the dialogue, Miroslav Lajcak, during which the ZSO should be the main topic, writes Koha Ditore.
The government in Pristina said that it will fulfill the legal obligation to establish the ZSO, but will not accept that the issue of the ZSO be raised again as a topic at the negotiating table with Belgrade.
"In the continuation of these obligations, Kosovo has concluded the negotiation process for the ZSO since an agreement was reached for such an entity. Accordingly, the government will not accept the presentation of this topic at the negotiating table, but will respect obligations from the agreement reached, which were later regulated by the decision of the Constitutional Court," the statement said, reports Kosovo Online.
Lajcak and Tomas Szunyog, head of the EU office in Pristina, said earlier that the Pristina side should propose the modalities of a ZSO mechanism.
