300 bullets for 4 Serb journalists killed reporting from front line in Croatia; killers unpunished
On this day in 1991, Zoran Amidzic - journalist and editor of the Sabac RTS office, Bora Petrovic - cameraman, Dejan Milicevic - assistant cameraman and Sretan Ilic - Radio Sabac editor, were killed while reporting from the front line in Croatia. No one has yet been held accountable for committing this crime.
There is an unfinished television report on the road between Petrinja and Glina, in Banija, and a question that has been waiting for an answer for 29 years. Who and why made a journalist crew their target?
This question is asked each October 9 by families, friends and colleagues of the killed journalists.
More than 300 bullets were fired at the company car in which Zoran Amidzic - journalist and editor of the RTS Sabac office, Bora Petrovic - cameraman, Dejan Milicevic - assistant cameraman and Sretan Ilic - Radio Sabac editor were traveling.
At the initiative of RTS Sabac office, the street from which Zoran, Bora, Dejan and Sretan left for their last professional task was named after them, and two years ago, a memorial was unveiled in front of the building.
