As of today, new measure of the Crisis HQ begin to be implemented - all hospitality sector facilities, regardless of whether they are indoors or outdoors, can stay open until 11 pm.

Control of compliance with these measures, and sanctions for non-compliance will be tightened, the authorities say.

According to the latest report, another 121 people were infected with coronavirus in Serbia over the previous 24 hours, while Covid 19 took another life in that period. There are 20 patients on ventilators.

More than half of the newly infected are from Belgrade, followed by Kragujevac, Nis, Novi Sad, Loznica, Vranje and Kraljevo.

Epidemiologists are warniing that the number of coronavirus cases in Serbia has increased in recent days. Although the risk of getting this disease in Serbia is still one of the lowest in Europe, it's important to maintain that.

"The task of all of us is to try to maintain that, and the experience of other countries has shown how this situation can change quickly," said deputy director of the Batut Institute Darija Kisic Tepavcevic.

The Crisis HQ has brought a new measure - all hospitality sector facilities, regardless of whether they are indoors or outdoors, can stay open until 11 pm. Control of compliance with these measures, and sanctions for non-compliance will be tightened, because celebrations and parties are one of the dominant ways of spreading the infection.

In addition, it was decided that all sporting events will continue to be held without the presence of fans.
