Ukraine's foreign minister is clear: We will not recognize Kosovo and Metohija
Deputy foreign Minister Vasyl Bodnar says that Ukraine consistently respects the position on non-recognition of Kosovo
The Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that despite some warnings at the end of September, that country will not recognize Kosovo, but that the decision could change in the near future depending on the outcome of the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, Pristina's Gazeta Express said, Tanjug reports.
The Pristina newspaper carried the statement Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Vasyl Bodnar gave to TV Dukagjini, who said that Ukraine consistently respects the position on non-recognition of Kosovo based on unconditional respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity.
"We are convinced that the solution for a possible recognition of Kosovo primarily depends on the results of the dialogue and the reaching of relevant agreements between Belgrade and Pristina. During the past year, there have been significant changes in the situation around the Kosovo issue, primarily where it concerns the approach of the international community," said Bodnar.
