"A man from Novi Pazar saw you're going to die": They took 1.5 million euros to remove "black magic"
Residents of Plav, Montenegro, identified as Heika (24), Adnan (46) and Semira H. (46) had been frightening two people for three years, telling them that their family members would die unless they paid a lot of money for the "removal" of spells allegedly cast on them.
From 2017 until recently, when they were prosecuted, they managed to extract about half a million euros from their victims, who for the most part borrowed the money from relatives.
The Police Administration told Vijesti unofficially that the suspects had been persuading the victims for years that black magic had been "cast" on their family and that they could, with the help of "a man from Novi Pazar," help them remove black magic.
"They frightened them, saying that the man from Novi Pazar predicted the death of their family members, leading them to give money that they borrowed from relatives," said a police source.
Two days ago, the Police Administration officially announced that H.S., A.H. and S. H. are suspected of cheating two people out of about half a million euros by offering them services to remove "black magic."
The police explained that they filed a criminal complaint against the suspects for the crime of fraud.
The police suspect that from 2017 to 2020, in order to make illegal gains by falsely presenting and concealing facts, they misled and continued to deceive the victims:
"They persuaded one of the victims to pay a sum of 57,000 US dollars and the other... between 430,000 and 500,000 euros, for alleged services of removing 'black magic'."
