Dacic: Talks about government formation to continue after the visit of US delegation

Talks on forming a new government will continue after the visit of a US delegation to Serbia, which will include special envoy Richard Grenell, Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic said on Sunday, adding that media reports about personnel solutions in the new government are incorrect.

"Everything that the newspapers write is incorrect," Dacic told TV Pink when asked about speculation in the media that in the new cabinet, he is ready to let go of Slavica Djukic Dejanovic and Goran Trivan, but not of Branko Ruzic.

He reiterated that personnel solutions have not been discussed, and when asked if he sees himself in the new government, he said that he does not like that kind of question because these are not the topics that should be talked about on TV.

"I have said it several times before and after the elections that we (SPS) are ready to continue cooperation with Aleksandar Vucic and the SNS. We are all aware that Vucic and the SNS have the majority even without us. The decision about that will certainly be made by the winner," said Dacic.

He added that he spoke with Vucic about the government more than a month ago, and that in the meantime there had been significant events in Washington and Brussels, while an American delegation is also coming to Serbia

He said that negotiations about the new government will continue in the coming period, that he is doing his job as a minister, working as usual and in communication with the office of the President of Serbia.

"We will see what will happen next in a few weeks," said Dacic.

He also said that the session of the Serbian Assembly should continue, and that PM-designate should be appointed.
