5 of the world's fastest runners arriving in Serbia: A spectacle prepared in Belgrade Waterfront

Slobodan Brankovic, the director of the Athletics Federation of Serbia, is delighted with the shot put event in Belgrade, "Throw to 22," which brought here two of the best shot putters in the world, Olympic champion Ryan Crouser and world champion Joe Kovacs.

Brankovic revealed for Telegraf that this was only the first in a series of campaigns to promote the World Athletics Indoor Championships Belgrade 22, and that a spectacle awaits us next year.

"I am delighted with the idea and the realization of the idea. Watching this live broadcast that was on several platforms I was proud of the image of Belgrade that went out, where the two best shot putters in the world participated, where the world could see an ambiance like this."

"This is the real beginning of announcing the biggest sporting event in Serbia of all time, the World Athletics Championships 2022.

I think that next year we will make the citizens of Belgrade and Serbia even happier. We will organize a spectacle in Belgrade Waterfront, where we will bring the five fastest men and women in the world, who will compete with three of our best athletes in both categories, in the beautiful environment next to the Sava River," Brankovic revealed.
