The first transmission of coronavirus between children has taken place in an elementary school in New Belgrade, epidemiologist Predrag Kon said this morning.

He stressed that one child had a temperature of 37.6 degrees and that it was determined that the child was positive for coronavirus.

"A little over five days after that, we had another child fall ill. There was no described close contact, but it is clear that they did not wear masks in the schoolyard, and that they had been close to each other," Kon told TV Pink.

He stressed that now the whole group from that classroom is in isolation and attending online classes.

As for kindergartens, Kon said that six positive cases have been confirmed in five kindergartens - four children and two educators.
