Prime Minister of the Provisional Institutions in Pristina Avdullah Hoti says that by the end of the year, Belgrade and Pristina "can sign a historic peace agreement," adding that reconciliation is moving along "a positive path, after increased engagement between Washington and Brussels," RTS reports.

Hoti said that the expectations of the Pristina side are that a final agreement could be reached this year.

"I'm not saying that with full conviction, but all the communications I've had during these three months, and especially during the last three weeks, I am convinced that we are moving towards that," Hoti told the Pristina media.

He claims that the agreement at the White House and the consecutive meetings in Brussels show the first effects in the dialogue.

Hoti presented details of the draft agreement during the dialogue in Washington, and the Point 10, which was deleted, stating that there was a paragraph saying that the two sides should recognize non-majority communities and their rights.

The Pristina prime minister is visiting Brussels for the second time this week.

During the day, he will have a meeting with the president of the European Parliament, David Sassoli, and will also participate in a debate in the Foreign Policy Committee of that parliament.

The European Parliament announced that they would discuss the situation in Kosovo and Metohija and the region, the progress of the dialogue process between Belgrade and Pristina and the liberalization of visas for so-called Kosovo.
