Montenegro eases entry conditions for residents coming from regional countries
The National Coordination Body for Infectious Diseases (NKT) decided last night, in line with the epidemiological situation in surrounding countries, and at the suggestion of the Institute of Public Health of Montenegro (IJZCG), to ease the conditions for entry to Montenegro of residents of the region and its own citizens, who briefly travel to one of the neighboring states.
As before, it is possible to enter Montenegro without additional conditions for residents of countries on the "green list", while residents of countries on the "yellow list" can enter Montenegro with a positive result of the serological test for IgG antibodies, issued by a registered laboratory and not older than 30 days, the government announced, Vijesti reported.
"Residents of all countries from the 'yellow list' can also enter Montenegro with a negative IgM serological test or with a negative PCR test for the new coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2), issued by a registered laboratory and not older than 72 hours. The condition is that the person did not reside in one of the countries from the 'red list' 15 days prior to entering Montenegro, i.e., in one of the countries from which entry to Montenegro is not allowed."
Easier entry for residents brifely traveling to regional countries
The entry of Montenegrin residents - citizens of Montenegro and foreigners permanently or temporarily residing in that country - from the countries of the region has been facilitated in case they spend up to 48 hours in those countries.
Upon their return to Montenegro, these persons are prescribed a health supervision measure which implies free movement, but also daily monitoring of symptoms and reporting to the competent doctor until the expiration of the decision issued by the Sanitary Inspection upon their return, a statement added.
The new measures will enter into force on the day of publication in the Official Gazette of Montenegro, which was expected to take place last night.
