The Specialist Kosovo Chambers for war crimes committed by the so-called KLA summoned one of the commanders of this former terrorist organization, Agim Ceku, as a suspect, writes Reporteri.

Ceku confirmed that he received an invitation from this special court.

"I received the invitation yesterday as a suspect. I am traveling on September 28," Ceku told Koha.

Agim Ceku graduated from the military academy in Belgrade, and at the beginning of the war in the former Yugoslavia joined the Croatian army, reports Kosovo Online.

He took part in military actions of the Croatian forces known as "Medak Pocket" and "Operation Storm."

In May 1999, he was appointed as commander of the KLA ("Kosovo Liberation Army") staff.

After the end of the war in Kosovo and Metohija, Ceku set up a political party, and from 2006 until 2008, he was also the prime minister of the provisional Pristina institutions.

Ceku was detained several times in the past in connection with a war crimes indictment, but would get released thanks to interventions by then head of UNMIK Harri Holkeri.
