Serbians still can't travel to European Union freely
EU member-states' ambassadors have decided not to change the existing list of 11 countries from which entry into the EU is allowed, it has been confirmed for Tanjug in Brussels.
At the first meeting after the summer break, permanent representatives of member-states discussed the epidemiological situation and concluded that for now there is no reason to change, that is, shorten or expand the existing list of third countries from which free entry into the EU is allowed.
The list of non-EU countries whose citizens are allowed to travel there includes: Australia, Canada, Georgia, Japan, New Zealand, Rwanda, South Korea, Thailand, Tunisia, Uruguay and China, which is conditioned with the principle of reciprocity.
On July 1, Serbia was on the list of third countries recommended to be allowed free travel across EU borders, but due to the worsening of the epidemiological situation, it was removed from that list in mid-July.
A new revision of the epidemiological data and the list of third countries will take place in two weeks.
