Starting today, cafe gardens in Belgrade can stay open until 1 am every day, not only on weekends

Deputy Mayor of Belgrade Goran Vesic has said that the City Headquarters for Emergency Situations in Belgrade made a decision yesterday, which is coming into force today, that, through October 31, hospitality facilities that have a garden can stay open until 1 am every day and not just on weekends, as required by valid decisions.

"In this way, as the City of Belgrade, we want to help the hospitality industry to more successfully overcome the economic consequences of the Covid-19 epidemic, which has greatly affected the services sector," said Vesic.

He explained that, according to valid decisions in force in the city, hospitality facilities in residential buildings can remain open until midnight on weekdays and play music until 11 pm, in accordance with all restrictions prescribed to regulate noise levels.

On weekends, opening hours are extended to 1 am, and the possibility of playing music until midnight.

"Now, all hospitality facilities located in residential buildings will be able to work until 1 am every day, and to play music until midnight. This decision will be valid until October 31, when the normal mode of operation will return. The restriction regarding the operation of hospitality facilities indoors is still in force, because they can only stay open until 9 pm," said Vesic.

According to him, all decisions made by the Crisis HQ to protect health are being implemented in hospitality establishments both indoors and in gardens, and they concern disinfection, wearing masks and keeping distance.

"I appeal on the hospitality industry to adhere to them because that is how they protect the health of their workers and customers," the deputy mayor of Belgrade added.
