In recent days, the numbers show an increasingly favorable epidemiological situation, but we must not allow ourselves to take a step back and start an avalanche, says the deputy director of the Institute of Public Health of Serbia, Darija Kisic Tepavcevic, who wished students a happy and safe return to school.

Kisic reiterated that any absence of students from school will be monitored and expressed satisfaction that 97 percent of parents said they want their child to go to school, which, as she says, is an indicator of great trust in state institutions.

"Violating rules and disrespecting the measures and discipline could start an avalanche, so we must all be responsible and aware of the situation, we should do everything to maintain a favorable epidemiological situation," Tepavcevic told TV Pink and assessed that holding the type of events, like show business ones, is very irresponsible.

"I would like to remind all people who are planning something of the kind once again that any behavior that endangers others is not allowed," said Tepavcevic.

The pandemic, as she said, is lasting longer than predicted and regardless of the fact that we have the desire for things to retunr to how they were before be as soon as possible, we must be patient.

"We cannot say things will be certain by a specific time, and in the coming period we will have to live with the virus," said Kisic Tepavcevic, and added that we must encourage each other to wear masks, and to act responsibly.

She made an appeal on all those returning to the country to behave even more responsibly and conscientiously, that responsibility must be a part of our strategy.

It is essential that we behave in such a way so as not to allow the virus to find fertile ground, she said.
