Big arrest in Serbia: They sold fake PCR tests and documents, taking 800 euros for one of those

Six people have been arrested on the order of the Prosecutor's Office for Organized Crime on suspicion that they joined a criminal group for the purpose of forging personal documents, but also producing dozens of fake PCR tests, the Prosecutor's Office announced.

"On the order of the Prosecutor's Office for Organized Crime, after several months of pre-investigative procedure conducted in cooperation with the Department for Suppression of Organized Financial Crime, SBPOK MUP of the Republic of Serbia, six persons were arrested today: M.P., M.M., S.G., L.B., S.I. and M.I., for committing criminal acts, associating for the purpose of committing criminal acts under Article 346 of the Criminal Code and forgery of documents under Article 355 of the Criminal Code," the prosecutor's office announced.

According to this, there are grounds for suspicion that this organized criminal group was finding people in the territory of the Republic of Serbia, in the period from January 2020 until today, who were interested in obtaining false personal documents, as well as dozens of fake PCR test results for Covid 19.

The suspects charged from 100 to 800 euros per document.

A search is underway in several locations, after which the suspects will be brought for questioning before the Prosecutor's Office for Organized Crime.
