Serbia to introduce PCR test and quarantine entry requirement for foreigners

Serbia is likely to this week introduce a mandatory PCR test and 14-day quarantine for foreigners coming from certain countries.

As Telegraf.rs has learned from the Crisis HQ, set up for the fight the coronavirus epidemic, the list of countries for which quarantine will be introduced has not yet been put together.

"It is necessary to look at the epidemiological situation in each one, which is being done, so a decision will be made based on that," HQ sources said.

Serbia currently does not have this measure in place for any country.

However, the border with Montenegro is closed. The possibility of opening the border with Bulgaria on August 16 has been announced.

On August 8, news arrived from Germany that this country cannot be entered without a negative test for coronavirus.

The border of Greece was open for a short time. They are saying in Croatia that there is no entry without a negative PCR test, which must be at most 72 hours old.

On the other hand, it was known since early in the month that it's  possible to organize trips from Serbia to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania, Turkey and Egypt.
