Serbia considering introducing negative PCR test requirement for foreigners entering the country

In the coming period, a negative PCR test for coronavirus could become a requirement for foreign citizens entering Serbia, and such a possibility is a topic in Crisis HQ meetings.

Most often, the condition for entry is a PCR tests 48 ​​or 72 hours from the moment a sample had been taken, most often countries have set such rules," Dr. Verica Jovanovic, director of the Batut Institute, said at today's news conference.

She added that, when it comes to us, there are also rules of the WHO, which allow countries to introduce some special measures.

"Hotspots should be monitored in the coming period, we will consider that. At this time, we do not have the requirement to produce a PCR test or PCR test results in order to enter our country. If someone has any symptoms, our health system is there to provide treatment and introduce isolation if necessary," added Dr. Jovanovic.
