EU remains closed for Serbia maybe until the end of August
Ambassadors of the European Union member-states have decided not to return Serbia to the list of countries from which people are allowed to travel to the EU on the basis of a "better or similar epidemiological situation" Tanjug has learned in Brussels.
The new updated list does not include new countries, nor any countries in the Western Balkans, diplomatic sources in Brussels have confirmed.
The decision of ambassadors should be confirmed in written procedure by member-states, and then officially adopted by the EU Council on August 1.
According to Tanjug, there will be no meetings of EU ambassadors during August, and the list will be updated as a matter of urgency only in case of a "drastic change in the epidemiological situation" in one of the countries.
