Dodik: Russia and China will not accept revision of UN Security Council Resolution 1244
The Serb member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), Milorad Dodik, said last night that he believes that Serbia will not accept the self-proclaimed independence of Kosovo, nor will Russia and China accept a revision of Resolution 1244 in the UN Security Council.
Dodik said that Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic has reiterated several times that he would not accept Kosovo's independence, as well as that two great powers, such as Russia and China, would not accept any separation, because they advocate respect of international law.
Appearing as a guest on Pink TV's Hit Tvit talk show, Dodik pointed out that Vucic has set a new approach towards Kosovo according to which a part of its territory cannot be taken away from a sovereign country, and that Serbia's position at the international level has never been stronger.
"If someone comes to a position of declaring (Kosovo) independent without the will of Serbia, why wouldn't the same rules apply to us (RS, Serb entity in BiH)," said Dodik.
Speaking about relations between the Serb Republic (RS) and Serbia, he reiterated that they are good, as well as with Russia, and added that the RS wants to have such relations with other countries in the region, but also within BiH.
As for certain allegations appearing in media that Russians were involved in recent anti-government protests in Serbia, Dodik said that it was fake news that was being spread.
