Doctor Nestorovic's first statement since he disappeared 17 days ago: "Everything has become crazy"

I'm here, in Obrenovac, I'm resting a bit, and I'm working in the afternoon. Everything has become crazy.

These were the first words of Professor Doctor Branimir Nestorovic spoken since July 5 when he was a guest on a TV station, after which he seemed to have disappeared off the face of the earth, causing concern among Serbian public, accustomed to his almost daily comments on the situation with coronavirus.

Those were his first words after more than two weeks, but also the only ones. That was all he had to say to a crew of Srpski Telegraf who were at the gate of his family home in Obrenovac.

In Obrenovac, people have only words of praise for Doctor Nestorovic. Everyone agrees that the doctor is always willing to talk to anyone he meets, that as a doctor he helped the children of many fellow residents, and that at the time of the coronavirus scourge his words sounded reassuring and were welcome at all times.

Nestorovic's first-door neighbor, who introduced himself as Rafailovic, says that he has been seeing him constantly lately, as well as that it is always a pleasure for him to "exchange a few" with a man next to whom he grew up.

"Everyone is wondering where he is, and we know and are silent. At the time of coronavirus, I trust him the most. We grew up together, here in the town, he's a great gentleman, an exemplary citizen and a good man, a dear neighbor. On Sundays, he always goes to the green market, every day to a nearby grocery store and behaves like any other ordinary person," says Rafailovic.

Neighbors say that he buys fruit and vegetables in a nearby store, often gets surrounded by women who ask all sorts ofo things, and talks patiently, sometimes even giving advice.

"Keep quiet, drink Smederevka (a type of wine)," Doctor Branimir can sometimes make a joke, claims his acquaintance.

Last night, Professor Nestorovic posted on his Facebook account, where he shared the news about the Russian vaccine.
