Vucic speaks from plane, reveals next move of state, then pleads with people not to fight hooligans
President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic will be on a two-day visit to France today and tomorrow.
During the first day of the visit, President Vucic will meet with his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron.
Vucic posted on his Instagram profile @buducnostsrbijeav to send a message to the citizens that he was going to Paris to fight for Serbia.
"Dear citizens, I promise you that we will be able to preserve peace and stability despite the criminal hooligan violent attacks that left us all shocked. In Novi Sad, in 1941, when Horthy's fascist units invaded, they did not damage the facade of the City Hall building, like some people did last night. All I ask of our people in Belgrade, Novi Sad and other cities not to oppose the thugs, we will do that as a state. We will work and we will win! We will keep the peace for our country! Surrender has never been an option! I am now flying to Paris to fight for our Serbia! I'll see you soon! Serbia wins!," said Vucic in a video message.
On the second day of his visit to Paris, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic will take part in a video conference hosted by French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Angela Merkel, the Serbian President's office for media cooperation announced.
