Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic today met with the Serb member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), Milorad Dodik.

The meeting in the building of the General Secretariat of the President of the Republic was also attended by President of the Serb Republic (RS) Zeljka Cvijanovic and RS Prime Minister Radovan Viskovic.

"I am very pleased that we had a meeting. We have excellent cooperation and we spoke about all our relations and economic cooperation. For us, cooperation with the RS is of special importance and these relations are set at a high level on both sides. We always support each other and talk openly about all issues, and have each other's back," said President Vucic.

He stressed that Serbia has been helping the RS whenever it could.

"I hope that we will be able to help even more, that would be our honor. BiH is one of the most important partners of Serbia and we want to further improve those relations. I informed them about the facts around the conversation on the issue of Kosovo and Metohija, about our not-too-easy schedule in the coming days. (Miroslav) Lajcak is coming to us, and I am going to Washington and Moscow. I informed our guests about everything I believe we could face and what the principles of Serbia are," said the president.

Vucic said that they agreed to continue with consultations in order to find a way to help each other, and added that he is very satisfied with cooperation with BiH.

"We came to talk to the president about cooperation and I am grateful to him for his time. We will continue to work on everything previously agreed regarding the road infrastructure," said Milorad Dodik.

Dodik said yesterday that it will not be easy for Vucic in the coming period on the issue of Kosovo, but that he is convinced the Serbian president will defend the interests of Serbia and of the Serbs, wherever they live, in the best possible way.

According to media reports, Dodik, Cvijanovic and Viskovic will also meet today at the Russian embassy in Belgrade with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergei Lavrov, who is coming to Serbia for an official visit.
