Dr. Nestorovic's new strange statement: "Murders like in good old days, we're back to normal"
Speaking for the TV Pink morning program, pulmonologist Branimir Nestorovic said that there is no longer any point in restricting people because of 10 patients who have pneumonia. As he stated, everything is returning to normal, "once again we have murders, violence..."
"There is no point in further restricting people, I think it would be impossible now, that is my personal opinion. I think there would be a rebellion if we started locking people up again. Mentally, people have gone through this epidemic, most people. You see the news, murders are happening now like in the good old days. Murders, violence, bank robberies will now begin. We're back to normal. People don't want to hear about it anymore, it is a normal mechanism," said Nestorovic.
As Nestorovic added, Serbia, but also the whole of Europe, is coming out of the coronavirus epidemic and now only sporadic pockets of infection will appear. As he pointed out, that will probably be the case until the beginning of July.
The virus, he says, is now weak and out of 66 newly infected, only one or two have pneumonia, while at the height of the epidemic, 20 or 30 out of each 100 infected had pneumonia.
"A lot of people are being tested, and a small number are infected. And those who are positive do not get sick, they do not have a pronounced clinical picture. We cannot close down the country and destroy the economy because of a dozen patients who have pneumonia. We have tests, we are treating them," he stated and added that we are slowly returning to normal.
