Road through Serbian Siberia, Vucic announces contract: "Highway that will change your life"

"The argument here is, whether it will be 510 or 610 million, but we will do all directions. I tried to remember every village," said the president of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic.

He pointed out that a contract to build the highway from Belgrade to Boljare will be signed in the coming months.

"Everything will be different for you, that means more companies, more investments. Belgrade and Sarajevo will be closer to you," he said.

"I didn't know how nice it is here, but how much of what we had to do we we didn't do. I came here to say we will build roads, everything you never dreamed of. We will work on the road Novi Pazar-Ibarice road, that will be 24 kilometers, 530 million dinars," he stated.

He also said the Novi Pazar-Raska road would be reconstructed.

Many promised that this road would be done but nothing ever happened until today, here on the Pester Plateau, said the Minister of Trade Rasim Ljajic. He pointed out that these are "roads of hope."

Ljajic said that many people wanted to come here today - "we had to ask them not to come."

"No part of the country has been forgotten. This is a turning point in the lives of people on the Pester Plateau," he said.

President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic is visiting Novi Pazar today.

During the visit, Vucic toured the works on the construction of the road Karajukica Bunari-Rasno. Later, he will visit the works on the reconstruction of the road Novi Pazar-Tutin.
