Montenegro opens borders with neighbors, including Serbia: However, we are not on one list

Starting at midnight last night, Montenegro opened all borders with neighboring countries, including with Serbia - but our country is not on the list of those whose citizens can enter Montenegro without quarantine or presenting a PCR test for coronavirus.

All road border crossings toward neighboring countries have been opened, which were closed as part of measures against the spread of coronavirus, but the measure remains in force that only citizens of those countries where the rate of confirmed active cases of coronavirus is less than 25 per 100,000 inhabitants don't have to go to quarantine.

As RTCG reports, border crossings with Serbia that were closed so far were reopened at midnight: Rance-Jabuka, on the road Pljevlja-Prijepolje, Vuce-Godovo on the road Rozaje-Tutin and Cemerno on the road Pljevlja-Priboj.

The Montenegrin government announced yesterday that traffic of passengers and goods on these road border crossings would be taking place in accordance with the measures of the National Coordination Body for Infectious Diseases (NKT) that are in effect, and therefore with the measure stipulating that quarantine is not necessary when entering Montenegro for citizens of Montenegro and foreigners with permanent or temporary residence who enter from a countries with a rate of confirmed active cases of coronavirus infection of less than 25 per 100,000 inhabitants.

Last night, the Montenegrin government updated its list of countries, which has 131 states, to no longer include North Macedonia and Ireland, where, after new cases were confirmed yesterday, the infection rate had increased, the Montenegrin Institute of Public Health announced last night.

The road border crossing Vracenovici-Deleusa with Bosnia and Herzegovina on the road Niksic-Bileca, which was closed on February 27 due to construction works on the border infrastructure, remains temporarily closed.
