Border between Serbia and Hungary is open: No quarantine, free entrance at all 9 crossings
Starting on Monday at 10 am, citizens of Serbia and Hungary can freely cross the border between the two countries, without quarantine, Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Peter Szijjarto has said.
"Today we will enable citizens of Serbia and Hungary to cross the border between the two countries freely," Szijjarto said during a press conference after a meeting at the Roszke border crossing, held together with Serbian Minister for European Integration Jadranka Joksimovic and President of the Assembly of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina Istvan Pasztor.
Szijjarto said that the Hungarian government decided to take that step after the Serbian government made a decision on Friday to allow its own and foreign citizens entry into Serbia without needing to show a negative coronavirus test or being put in quarantine.
Citizens of Serbia and Hungary will be able to freely enter Hungary at all nine border crossings.
"That will contribute to our economic relations gaining a new momentum," Szijjarto added.
