"The situation in Sid is more stable since the arrival of the Serbian Army"
The deputy president of the municipality of Sid, Zoran Semenovic, said on Sunday morning that the situation in that municipality is more stable after soldiers took up positions near the migrant reception centers.
He said that during the previous night, 18 people had been brought in, that is, they were taken back to the reception centers.
"It's far safer compared to all the days in the previous period. The Army is preventing any attempt to endanger security and property in the territory of the municipality of Sid," he told for RTS.
He explained that the most endangered settlements are Principovac, Volovin, Sot and Batrovci, because in these places, migrants have no intention of returning to the reception centers.
"They then stay in other people's weekend houses, fields, forests, in the desire to reach the border with Croatia," Semenovic pointed out.
