I didn't wear mask or gloves, but they let me in: Novi Sad woman describes her public transport ride

At five o'clock this morning, the first buses of the city transport company in Novi Sad departed from their garages, but there were no crowds, with an average of two or three people getting on a bus.

Novi Sad, after the first easing of measures introduced as part of the state of emergency due to the coronavirus epidemic, has restored regular service on all city, suburban and inter-city lines.

One of the first passengers recounted her experience of her city bus ride, thrilled that she was not charged.

"I got on the bus normally, went to pay for the ticket, however, the driver said for the first week or so, there would be nothing (to pay). It's great, there was nobody on the bus though, I think people might be scared. I'm not employed, I'm a freelancer, but they didn't ask me for anything. I did not wear a mask or gloves, but they let me in," this Novi Sad woman said.
