Igman defense company director's wife dies of coronavirus after twice testing negative
The wife of Djahid Muratbegovic, the director of the Igman company from Konjic in Bosnia and Herzegovina, who was infected with coronavirus, has passed away at a clinic in Mostar, Klix.ba has been able to confirm.
Dr. Zoran Karlovic of the Mostar hospital told Klix.ba that the death occurred at two o'clock last night at the hospital's respiratory center.
The patient (66) was tested for coronavirus twice and was negative both times, but the presence of coronavirus was established through the clinical picture.
"She has been at the respiratory center since March 22. The radiological findings of the lungs and the clinical picture showed that the patient was positive for Covid-19. She died from the consequences of this disease," Karlovic stressed for Klix.ba.
This is the 11th death associated with coronavirus in the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton.
Director of the Igman defense industry company from Konjic Djahid Muratbegovic, as well as three employees of the company, contracted the virus in March during a ceremony marking the anniversary of the company, that also attended by a director of a company from Serbia, who them fell ill with coronavirus.
