"I might have brought coronavirus into my family, my wife is dead. Take the virus seriously"

So far, 490 patients have been admitted to the pulmonology department of the Clinical Center of Serbia, which at the time of coronavirus became a Covid-only hospital. These patients are referred from the Infectious Diseases Clinic and, depending on the clinical picture, continue their treatment in a ward, or in semi-intensive and intensive care units.

One of the patients who is being treated here and is now recovering successfully has a very strong and tough message for everyone, as he shared the story about the virus from personal experience.

Namely, this man who is now nearly recovered at the Clinical Center said that this virus needs to be taken very seriously.

"This must be taken very seriously so you don't end up in my situation. I am probably the one who brought coronavirus into my family. The whole family got hospitalized and that was an incredible stress for me," he said.

Fortunately, his children are now undergoing home treatment, however, not all family members made in through this fight.

"Unfortunately, my wife had accompanying illnesses and passed away," he said, repeating the message:

"This virus must be taken very seriously because it is very vicious."

He thanked the doctors for their care and pointed out that they had put in an incredible effort.
