Hero Novi Pazar firefighter stepped inside a fire, risking his life. His helmet completely melted

One of the apartments in the loft of a building burned down in the Simpo residential building in the Lug neighborhood of Novi Pazar, southwestern Serbia, while the flames spread to several other apartments. A charred body of a woman (74) was found inside one apartment.

This tragedy that struck Novi Pazar on Sunday gave birth to the hero of the day - young fireman Almir Plojovic, writes Glas Pazara.

According to eyewitnesses, he stepped into the fierce fire, in circumstances where a Novi Pazar firefighter had not set foot in a long time. Obviously, he didn't think about his own life because he was endangering himself, and was aware of it.

However, it was more important to him to perform his human and professional duties. The protective gear he wore on his head completely burned and dissolved.

What left everyone speechless at the scene of the accident was that Almir refused to freshen up with water, so as not to waste time on that.

Heroes are also firefighter Veljko Jolovic, but also all the New Pazar residents who, as always, assisted other firefighters who are not capable and good people like Almir and Veljko, Glas Pazara said on Facebook, adding, bravo for fellow citizens, Omer Bronjo, Admir Smajovic and dozens of other people.
