Vucic on IMF package Serbia is not included in: I'm proud that we're not there, it's a loan, not aid
The fact that Serbia is not in the new EU package, which is related to assistance through the IMF, is the best example of knowing what things are, says President Aleksandar Vucic.
"This is not EU aid, these are loans," he said.
"I am proud that Serbia is not on that list, the document states that it is given to countries that have significant disturbances in the balance of payments system, and we don't have them. We will have problems, but less than others," he said, recalling that our public debt should not exceed 60 percent.
Vucic also indicated that there were no more quotas for raspberry farmers.
The European Commission has adopted a proposal for 3 billion euros in macro-financial support for ten enlargement partners and the EU neighborhood.
The proposal was adopted to help them combat the economic consequences caused by the coronavirus pandemic, and Serbia in not mentioned among these countries, because, according to the EU, it has not sought assistance from the IMF.
