Whatever measures are taken, or if the current ones get abolished, we will continue to wear masks and gloves - that is the conclusion of today's press conference. As Minister of Health Zlatibor Loncar pointed out, without these two things we will not go anywhere any longer.

"We need to get used to living with coronavirus. We don't need to be looking at what measures are in place, but what we can do to live with it. Whatever happens tomorrow, whatever measures are being taken, you need to know that we will not go anywhere without a mask: not to restaurants, cafes, shopping malls, hairdressers..." Loncar stressed.

"You can check in any pharmacy and you'll see that you can buy masks and gloves. We ask that you respect these safety measures, we have provided you with what is necessary for that," Loncar added.

As May 1 approaches, but also one of Serbia's biggest religious feasts, Djurdjevdan, the inevitable question is whether the measures would be abolished or mitigated by then.

"We don't want neither to make a mistake or be late in something. We are not prolonging the answer of what May 1 or Djurdjevdan will be like, we just have to take into account many factors to make any decision," said the Minister.

Number of infected exceedes 7,000

There are 104 patients on ventilators.
