Belgrade to get a new bridge, connecting New Belgrade blocks and Ada: This is what it will look like

A new, modern pedestrian-bicycle bridge will be built in the area between the New Belgrade blocks and the Ada Ciganlija Sava River resort - and it is known that it will look like, once completed.

City planner Marko Stojcic announced that New Belgrade and Ada will be connected with a bridge, whose construction will start next spring, while his cabinet has produced a preliminary design.

"I am proud of the Chief Urban Planner Service, which is responsible for this conceptual design of the pedestrian-bicycle bridge going from Block 70a to Ada Ciganlija," Stojcic wrote on his Instagram.

A 300-lot garage will also be built on the New Belgrade side.

There had been an idea to transfer the Old Sava Bridge to this place, but this was abandoned since it was estimated that it was a more expensive variant, which, moreover, got "lost" as Belgraders got a chance to vote on the issue.
