What about elections, and when will the first campaign events begin in Serbia?

It is inevitable that, once a state of emergency has been abolished, we will move on to the topic of elections

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said that he did not want to declare hid position on the election (that had been originally planned for April 26) and possible continuation of boycotts by certain political parties, and that he would continue to have discussions with those parties he spoke with before the state of emergency.

"I will first discuss elections with the political parties with whom we have discussed it before.

We will look to have that conversation before the state of emergency is lifted, to agree that several days after the state of emergency is lifted, and that the Republic Electoral Commision (RIK) starts with election business after that, but that is an agreement for some other place. I do not want to speak about the elections and political opponents now.

They are there and those who want to take part in the election, do, those who don't, that's their problem, as far as I am concerned it is an important thing for the country's democracy and what is important to me is what you leave as your legacy," Vucic commented briefly on Tuesday.
