From the last report until today at 3 pm, samples taken from 2,440 people were tested, of which 411 came back positive for the presence of coronavirus.

9 more people died over the past 24-hour period, and the total death toll is 94.

This has been the highest number of people tested in a single day since the epidemic began.

As Dr. Darija Kisic Tepavcevic revealed during a news conference, the latest coronavirus victims are seven men and two women. Their average age was 69.

There are currently 131 people on ventilators. 3,006 patients have been hospitalized.

Dr. Predag ​​Kon announced this morning that he was withdrawing from the position of the leader of a team of epidemiologists, stating that the reason for this were the attacks against him and the professional team on the social networks, because the Gerontology Center in Nis got exposed to coronavirus.

However, after an urgent meeting with President Vucic and Prime Minister Ana Brnabic, he decided to remain at the helm of the team, after all.

Today, Dr. Miodrag Lazic, a specialist surgeon from Nis, died as a result of coronavirus. It was previously reported that he had tested positive for COVID-19 and was fighting the virus.
