Over the last 24 hours in Serbia, one man died from coronavirus, bringing the death toll to 66 so far. A total of 1,586 individuals have been tested in that time, of which 201 were positive.

1,907 people have been hospitalized and 127 patients are on ventilators. A total of 12,347 people have been tested by 3 pm.

The average age of the deceased is 64.3, the mortality rate is 2.3 percent. 49 men and 17 women have died.

Serbia is still in control of the new coronavirus epidemic, and to prove this is the fact that in the last few days the number of new cases has been constant - rangig from 200 to 250.

"We are in a phase where we can still control the situation. The problem arises when you have exponential growth of the sick, if we had 500 or 1,000 new cases that would set off serious alarms. As long as we keep a steady rate of new cases, we are in a situation where we can control the epidemic," Zoran Gojkovic, the provincial secretary for health, said earlier today.
