The youngest patient at Belgrade Fair is only 10: He did not want to be separated from his mother
The field hospital at the Belgrade Fair now has 49 patients, including 39 men and 10 women. Among them is the youngest patient, a child just 10 years old, State Secretary at the Ministry of Health Berislav Vekic has confirmed.
"The child did not want to be separated from his mother, although we wanted him to be at KBC Dragisa Misovic (hospital)," Vekic told RTS.
So far, 18 patients have been discharged from the Fair because a second test showed they were negative for coronavirus.
A total of 900 people infected with the virus have been confirmed in Serbia so far, 23 have died while 43 have been cured.
After the worst day in Serbia, dispensaries are opening in all healthcare centers starting today, where citizens with coronavirus symptoms will be examined.
"Covid-19 dispensaries are being opened throughout the country in healthcare centers and will be open from 7 am to 10 pm," Berislav Vekic, State Secretary of the Ministry of Health, told RTS.
Asked how he commented on those unhappy with the conditions at the Fair, he said that in two or three days the problem of hot water would be solved.
"In such a difficult situation, there is always someone who is malicious. We cannot say that these are hotel-like or clinic-like conditions. In two to three days we should overcome the problem of hot water," said Vekic.
