A group of Albanians uses excavator to attack Serb Kosovo police officers
A group of Albanians used an excavator to attack Serb members of Kosovo police, KPS North, who were preventing attempts to build an illegal embankment on the Ibar River, Kosovo Online reports.
The embankment is being built contrary to local government decisions.
Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija Marko Djuric said on the occasion that this was an attempt by terrorists to violently invade northern Kosovo and Metohija.
"This group of savages who attacked Serb police officers on the Ibar River was led by Agim Bahtiri, a leader of Siptar (Albanian) separatists. It's horrible that they did this on the anniversary of the pogrom against Serbs in Kosovo, when Serb churches were destroyed and burned and people killed," Djuric said.
The police officers managed to defuse the situation by removing the group that was building the illegal embankment and attacking KPS members. The situation is calm now.
