7 more people in Serbia have coronavirus: 31 are infected in total so far
The latest data from the Ministry of Health says that coronavirus in Serbia has been confirmed in 7 more people, so the total number of those sick from the virus is 31, Telegraf.rs has learned.
"Since the last report on March 12 at 6 pm, until March 13 at 8 am, samples have been tested from 29 persons of which seven were positive while 22 were negative for coronavirus," the Ministry of Health said in a statement.
Of the seven new cases confirmed, four are in home isolation due to the mild clinical picture of the disease, while three have been kept in the hospital.
"They don't have complications and their health status is stable," the ministry said.
So far, a total of samples from 214 persons have been tested at the Torlak Institute.
The Serbian government earlier in the week banned indoor public gatherings with more than 100 people. Also, smaller border crossings with several countries have been closed.
In order to prevent the spread of the infection, Serbia previously banned entry of foreigners coming from Italy, China, South Korea, Iran and Switzerland. Also, all student excursions were have been canceled.
In Serbia, the first case of coronavirus was confirmed on Friday, March 6 in I.DJ, a 43-year-old from Backa Topola.
