PM Brnabic: Tourism, transport and logistics are most under threat in coronavirus outbreak
Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic said the coronavirus pandemic will certainly affect a decline in Serbia's GDP.
She told a press conference that the most vulnerable sectors are tourism, transport and logistics. On the one hand, the economy will be propped up by central bank, NBS, measures and on the other by those of the government of Serbia.
Some of the measures are tourist vouchers, and the 24 billion dinars that the government will invest in capital projects to accelerate growth. This includes the decision of the NBS to reduce the reference interest rate.
Brnabic pointed out that companies are currently doing well, and there are no major delays in projects.
"Maybe we will postpone some of the effects, maybe we will change some measures, supplement them," said Ana Brnabic.
She added that the government will also grant additional one-time assistance to pensioners in the amount of at least 4,000 dinars.
