Coronavirus test results are back for boy from Vlasotince suspected of contracting the disease
A teenager (16) from Vlasotince who arrived from Italy a few days ago and has been isolated in the Leskovac hospital does not have coronavirus, Telegraf.rs has learned.
On Friday, he was transported with all necessary safety measures to the Leskovac General Hospital because it was suspected that he became infected with coronavirus. He was immediately placed in isolation in the Infectious Diseases Ward.
As director of Leskovac General Hospital Nebojsa Dimitrijevic told the media last Friday, the boy had spent time abroad and had symptoms suggesting that he could be infected with the virus.
"Otherwise, the young man is feeling well. It's true that he has fever and cough. A lung scan has been taken and he is showing satisfactory results," Dimitrijevic said on Friday.
Fortunately, a test done at the Belgrade-based Torlak Institute showed that he does not have COVID 19.
Serbia's first case of coronavirus was confirmed on Friday in entrepreneur I.DJ. (43) from Backa Topola. It is presumed that he became infected while visiting his sister in Hungary.
I.DJ. was first taken to a hospital in Subotica, but was transferred to the Clinical Center in Novi Sad on Saturday due to variations of his body temperature. His condition is currently stable.
So far, a total of 94 people have been tested for coronavirus in Serbia.
