Dacic: Hypocritical failure to react to Tirana and Pristina announcing joint lobbying
Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic assessed that the lack of reaction from the international community to Tirana's announcement that it would adopt an agreement with Kosovo on sharing costs for lobbying in favor of recognition of Kosovo demonstrates the height of hypocrisy.
Ivica Dacic said it was the height of hypocrisy and "an indication that they are actually bothered by the number of countries recognizing Kosovo falling to less than half of UN member-states."
Dacic warned that Albanian Foreign Minister Gent Cakaj's announcement that he would sign an agreement on sharing costs for lobbying for the recognition of Kosovo at a joint session of the governments of Albania and Kosovo in Shkoder, went without any comment from EU, and the US, France, Germany, the UK and Italy, the so-called Quint.
Dacic asked if they would have a shred of morals to continue asking Belgrade to stop doing what they are allowing and helping Pristina and Tirana to do.
"While they are pressuring daily for Serbia to abandon the campaign for withdrawals of recognition of Kosovo, they don't say a word about joint lobbying of Kosovo and Albania in favor of recognition of Kosovo," Dacic said.
The diplomacy chief asked if this meant that they supported the campaign for recognition of Kosovo and opposed our campaign for withdrawal of recognitions.
