Nis woman has her first child at 50: She had a healthy girl delivered via C-section

Aleksandra Zivkovic from Nis gave birth to her first child yesterday at the age of 50. She delivered a healthy girl without any complications on Wednesday afternoon. The management of the Clinical Center confirmed that the mother and the baby were well.

"We are glad because of this good news. The management of Clinical Center Nis and those in charge of the Gynecology and Obstetrics Ward congratulate first of all the mom, but also the whole family," said Nikola Markovic, a spokesman for this institution.

"At birth, the baby was 3 kilograms and 280 grams and was 50 centimeters long. We cannot describe our happiness at having a new family member. I am happy for my sister who is a great fighter and will be an even better mother," new uncle Milos Zivkovic was overjoyed.

Aleksandra gave birth via C-section.
