Jobs for one thousand Nis residents: Chinese to build an automotive lighting factory
Chinese company Xingyu has purchased 6.6 hectares of construction land from a private owner in the industrial zone West, in preparation for construction of an automotive lighting factory in Nis, Tanjug has been able to confirm today at the city's Office for Local Economic Development (KLER).
Investors from China plan to buy up to 13.5 hectares of undeveloped construction land for their 50 million-euro investment in Nis. As work is being done in phases, there are no obstacles to start contstruction, KLER said, adding that additional construction land will be provided for the purpose of this investment.
Last year, a memorandum of understanding was signed for the investment which is expected to employ 1,000 Nis residents, while Xingyu plans to start construction of the plant in the first quarter of this year.
