6 Serbian truck drivers beaten up in Ukraine: "They beat us, shouting that this is their border"
Six Serbian truck drivers were brutally beaten last night at the Dyakove-Halmeu border crossing between Ukraine and Romania. The incident happened at about 1 am.
They were beaten by Ukrainian truck drivers. As they were assaulting the Serbians, the attackers shouted, "This is Ukraine and that this is our border."
The group of beaten up Serbian drivers this morning announcedthe shocking news, explaining that this happened at the border between Ukraine and Romania, just before entering Romania, as they were on their way home to Serbia.
"Five or six of us have been beaten up, three really badly," the drivers wrote in a message, adding that Radojko Kovacevic, Milan Rujevic and Dragan Jovanovic have been injured.
They are still in shock and disbelief considering what happened to them.
They have been waiting for days to enter Romanian territory.
The drivers say they were attacked out of the blue, and that not only our people but also Russian and Belarus truck drivers have all been waiting there for days, unlike domestic drivers, Ukrainians, who drive past the kilometers-long column and cross the border in a matter of hours.
