Young man tortured, thrown into Sava: "Worse than war, his fingers and nails were ripped out"
Edin Zejcirovic, 30, hasb been brutally murdered and thrown into the Sava River in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The police have arrested four people on suspicion of kidnapping, torturing and throwing the victim into the river near Brcko.
The killers of the unfortunate young man also made a video and posted it on social networks. Due to the cruelty of the scenes, the footage was quickly removed from all platforms.
Edin disappeared on November 17 and the search for him lasted for weeks. On December 5, the police arrested three men suspected of kidnapping, torturing and throwing him into the Sava River, while two days later another man was arrested.
Those who have seen the video of the brutal torture say that such things weren't happening even during the war.
"The kind of thing that could be seen in the video was not seen in the war. So what did this guy do to them to rip out his fingers, nails... I can't speak. I can't sleep after everything I've seen," N.M. from Brcko told the daily Avaz, adding that he expects a concrete reaction from the judiciary.
It is assumed that the motive behind this vicious crime is jealousy, as one of the killers is heard telling Edin, "You want to go to my wife, huh? You want to go to my wife? Get in touch with her to see if she needs anything."
The persons arrested on suspicion that they killed Edin are S.H. (40), S.D. (22), N.H. (26) and S.S. (20).
Edin left behind an underage daughter.
