Albanians summarize aftermath of disaster: Over 5,000 families left homeless by earthquake
Albania's Deputy Interior Minister Rovena Voda announced yesterday that 3,135 citizens had been evacuated and 5,497 homes heavily damaged after the devastating earthquake in the country.
According to her, this is the latest data on the damage caused by the earthquake collected by inspectors in Tirana, Durres, Lezhe, Lac and Kruje, the Albanian Daily News reports.
Voda added that 12 health centers and premises in Kruja, Durres, Lac and Tirana have also been damaged in the earthquake.
A 6.4-magnitude earthquake which hit Albania at 3:55 a.m. on November 26, killed 51 people and injured more than 900.
