Confirmation of Xi Jinping's visit proof of steely Serbia-China friendship: Vucic meets with Chen Bo
Serbia is extremely committed to strengthening cooperation with China, and the confirmation of the arrival of President Xi Jingping, announced for next year, is a great honor and proof of the steely Serbia-China friendship, President Aleksandar Vucic said today during his meeting with Chinese Ambassador Chen Bo.
President Vucic and Ambassador Chen discussed the development and further improvement of relations between the two countries.
Ambassador Chen stressed that intensive work is being done to prepare the 17+1 Summit, to be held in China in April, and informed President Vucic about the state of investments of Chinese companies in Serbia.
They discussed joint infrastructure projects, such as the Belgrade-Budapest railway and work on the section of the Preljina-Pozega highway, that is currently being realized successfully.

The Belgrade-Nis-Presevo railway was also discussed during the meeting - which would make Serbia an unavoidable corridor for transport of goods from major Greek ports to the heart of Europe, emphasizing the special economic importance and the possibility of developing industrial zones along this railway.
President Vucic asked Ambassador Chen to convey his brotherly and friendly greetings to President Xi and stressed that Serbia is permanently committed to having closest relations with the People's Republic of China, the press service of the President of the Republic said.
