Bus driver drives through Vojvodina using his elbow, holding his phone in the same hand and talking

A Telegraf.rs reader has sent our newsroom a videom showing a bus driver, allegedly from the Severtrans company, who was using a mobile phone while driving.

The concerned passenger told us that the video was made on November 19, early in the morning, on the Dortmund-Belgrade line. Immediately after crossing the border at Horgos, on the road from Sombor to Novi Sad, the driver picked up his phone and started using it.

The video clearly shows the driver making a phone call, driving and holding the steering wheel with only one elbow.

The conversation between the driver and someone on the other side lasted about half a minute. He didn't even slow down.

"Drivers like this who constantly talk on phone and text endanger many lives and cause serious traffic accidents," says our reader.

Severtrans has no comment

Telegraf has been trying to contact Severtrans for two days. However, even after the messages and calls nobody wanted to answer our questions regarding the incident that happened on their bus.
